Shattered dreams

Hi there, here I am again with my new chapter. Hope you guys will like it. I'd prefer to write it in Chinese as I'm better in Chinese. But I assume you guys would find it troublesome to read Chinese words, so pardon my bad English. :D . Please stop calling me hamburger face jiahao. I'm angry! Joking joking ;) . My stories are more of their innermost feelings being shown. There's not much mystery. Enjoy!

Chapter 2: Shattered dreams

Jeff and Erica just sat there with Jeff staring into space with complicated feelings and antagonized eyes. Erica could not stand it anymore, she could not possibly let her best friend stay dejected. She went to Jacqueline's house to wait for her return and spotted her with a guy. When Jacqueline parted with the guy and went to her front porch of her house, she was surprised at the sudden appearance of Erica.

" Follow me! I want to take you to a place and let you see the destructions and damages that you had done!" Erica pulled her forcefully.

" What are you talking about? Hey, Erica, can you explain your bizarre behaviour?" Jacqueline was mad and baffled.

" Don't feign ignorance! Jeff likes you! Can't you see? He really likes you a lot. Ever since he fell in love with you, he has stopped talking and spending a lot of time with other girls. He knew that when you're not in a relationship, you'll spend almost every single moments with him. He wanted to be there when you needed him, thus depriving him of the chance to notice the other girls around him. Whenever you dump him to be with your hunks, he will go to the basketball court and stare into space. Although he doesn't say it, but I know that he's wondering, when will you ever turn your head around and notice that he's the one for you?" Erica's shouts turned into a distressful tone.

" I know that he likes me, but... it's because he's so close to me and I've known him for so long that I know I'll never fall for him. He's not the type of guy that I'll go for. I know... he's not too bad, being so handsome and so popular in school. But to tell the truth, he's not suitable for me. I just treat him like... a big brother." Jacqueline said. With that, she ran into her house.

While both of them were having their conversation, they failed to notice that there was someone out there hiding in a corner listening to what they were saying-- Jeff. He turned to walk away with tears in his eyes, but he was fighting them back. When he reached home, he could not control his tears anymore, they just flowed out of his eyes like running water.

He kept on banging his fists against the wall in his room, with tears streaming down his cheeks uncontrollably and he was shouting out loud too. He wanted to stop, but he could not. He felt like a loser. It was like the end of the world for him. He wanted to take things easy but not when he had just heard something which he would never want to hear from the girl he likes. It was only until then that he realised he could not seem to give her up, despite all his previous pretence of nobility by giving her up and letting her pursue her true love.
