Christmas exchange

大忙人 ah rin 在忙什么呢？

23rd seems like a popular day to meet up but based on a first-come-first-served basis, ei8ht didn't meet up because I'm not free. The only date all 8 of us could make it was 23rd but too bad I was already reserved by DBA01 a month ago. Did last minute shopping for the Teo's christmas exchange before meeting up with DBA01 for dinner at &made burger by chef bruno menard (pacific plaza). Main course are all burgers, had honey salmon burger with fries. Waited for boonie to come then headed over to tcc for drinks and gift exchange. Got a starbucks tumbler from boonie, yam got my chocolate fondue set. Luckily it's a girl who got it if not the guys are going to nag at me. Everyone can use it but I don't think this group of guys will use. It's so difficult to think of a unisex gift, predicted that tumbler will be a popular choice, true enough 3 people bought it. Boonie bought the gift just a few minutes ago, quite insincere but I understand that she's busy. Again, wx was very quiet, kept thinking about the plan on thursday. His heart was not with us :P They are planning a getaway during feb, not sure if I want to go.

Spent christmas eve with bel and min, had dinner at oriole cafe & bar at 313, ordered st.louis pork ribs, fish & chips and baked seafood linguine. Went over to providore at mandarin gallery for drinks and gift exchange. I got a clutch from bel. We were chilling at that place and looking at the crowd, town's really packed. Saw a group of youngsters spraying cans of those foam-like thingy which you need to shake first before it will come out. They were doing it in the middle of orchard road, along the streets. It seems fun, if I was younger, I'd have joined in the fun but too bad I'm already past that crazy stage. They were just having fun without much thought and it landed on the people passing by, including me.

Both siblings celebrated their christmas abroad leaving me alone, felt quite lonely. It seemed really quiet without my brother and his nonsense, presents were also reduced from 10 last year to 5 this year, seems so pathetic. Felt as though I'm santa claus cause I gave them chocolate almond & starbucks voucher as well, no doubt the season of giving. Offered to help hy buy her present before I generate the secret santa email cause she might not have time to buy, told her that it'd be "best" if she's my secret santa. It'd mean that I've to go and buy the present for myself and joked that it's not impossible cause 命运爱作弄人, she might just be my secret santa after all. What can I say, 命运真的爱作弄人 haha. We were each other's secret santa and the lucky thing was, she told me what she wanted as well. It became much easier for me. She went to buy the present herself in the end. She hinted that she could have gotten a much cheaper one with more quantity but she only saw it after she bought the expensive one. I guessed that she got the same stuff as me cause I was in the same situation. We both got masks from the same shop and same as her I only saw the expensive one initially, was already queueing to pay but somehow I doubled back and saw the cheaper one. It was what she wanted anyway. I'm really very lucky. Don't let me guess anything, I can be quite a good guesser sometimes, that's how I always spoil surprises. Played saboteur and I won all 4 rounds! But I only got 1 out of maximum 3 golds each turn, is this lucky or unlucky?

Singing

6 hours of teo heng with the usual DBA01 singing gang along with mel's friends, it's always a pleasure to hear them sing. 实力派唱将。Wx sings all the old chinese songs, jeff sings all english songs, mel is a mixture. There's a few jay chou fans that day, I like :) First time having 3 pages filled with his songs. I didn't choose a single jay chou song but ended up singing most of it cause they kept pushing it to me. I like his songs but doesn't mean that I will only sing his songs, I know how to sing other songs too. 说真的，不是他的每一首歌我都喜欢唱。别人每次问我为什么喜欢他，他又不帅。心里很无奈想着难道喜欢一个人一定要看他帅不帅吗？不能纯粹是喜欢他的音乐才华吗？Sometimes I don't know what songs to sing anymore, just don't have the feel to sing a lot of songs.

It's very obvious that wx was very quiet, can tell that he immediately become relaxed when they left cause he started crapping with me like nobody's business. It's really a 360 degrees change. Dinner at watami (the star vista), then to cafe coffee and after the shop closed, we just sat at the steps near the atrium, just chill and have heart-to-heart talk with them. They talked, I listened. I think all of us agree that guys should always make the first move cause girls usually don't do that or don't like doing that. Nothing will ever happen if you just wait.

Considering if I should go to eason's concert on 1 mar, quite tempted but I'm faced with that problem again. 让我聊一下周阿伦，陪我听他的歌，我会觉得开心啊。陪我去他的演唱会我会更开心 :D
