Attended my cousin's wedding banquet at gim tim imperial court restaurant last sunday. We took many pictures using the props at the photo booth. The bride and her mum looks so pretty that night, the bride looks like a disney princess. My impression of brides are their makeup are too thick which I don't like but my cousin's makeup was all right, at least it looked nice on her. The food is all right but not as good as I expected it to be.
Went to visit teo heng's new outlet at causeway yesterday with all the professional singers. Yeong as usual sang his oldies, he even know how to sing cantonese and hokkien songs. 佩服。Ji livens the atmosphere with his fast songs, mel can hit all the high notes, jeff is the best among us. I like that I don't have to say a thing, they just automatically selected jay's songs for me. Went to have mango bingsu for dessert at kokomama, bingsu is really popular nowadays. It usually consists of ice shavings, condensed milk, korean rice cake, ice cream and fruits. Went to wang cafe and sat down for a while waiting for time to pass and headed over to kith cafe. Ordered truffle fries, calamari, smoked duck pizza, smoked salmon pizza and kung pao chicken pizza.
Walked over to the cathay for our movie, if you asked me why do I always choose this place to watch movie, it's because of them. It has become a habit for me to watch movies there since we always do that on wednesdays when we ended school early during our poly days. Watched 'Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice', I'm neither a fan of both of them. I'm a fan of ironman. This movie wasn't that good as compared to 'The Dark Knight'. I almost fell asleep during the front part but I forced myself to stay awake. It started getting more exciting towards the end with more action. I feel that there isn't a need to watch this movie, 'The Dark Knight' is way better.
Currently using the app hy introduced, sing by smule. This app needs iOS8 or later, I had to update my iOS in order to use it. You can sing a duet with someone else or find those songs which you can do a solo cover. My vocals are not as good as hy but I tried my best, she's really damn good. You can delete the recording if you find it not as good and record it again until you are satisfied with the results. It is recommended to use earpiece mic for better quality. Dinner at morganfield's, silly me didn't see the signboard of bistro 1855 and went in. Sat there happily waiting for them until yl came and asked me if we are at the right place. Went to check the name on the reservations list and realised that it's not jy. The thing is the staff directed me in when I asked and all this while I didn't know that I'm in the wrong place. Morganfield's was just beside and I thought it was all connected. Sometimes I really think I never put my eyes to good use, really don't know what am I looking at.
Ordered some appetizers to eat while waiting for the rest. Chilli cheese fries is nice but not the popcorn pork. Didn't drink any beer cause I don't like beer. Had sharing platters where we get to choose 3 stickybones flavour, garlic bbq, honey rum and probably spicy asian? Can't remember the last one. Their ribs are really tender, not too tough to cut or chew, I like. We are still a little hungry so we ordered appetizers again. We love the loaded chilli nachos, the spicy chicken wings wasn't too nice I feel.
Ordered a cake/brownie for nat's birthday, the staff just randomly put the cake in front of her while she was talking on the phone. Nice timing and she ended her call so abruptly haha. Reached home at 11 plus, so tired. It's my first time taking downtown line home, luckily we didn't take circle line if not we will go one big round.
I have quite a number of leave this year but not really going anywhere. Well, my plans of going anywhere failed, they either get postponed or cancelled. Currently there's only the plan of going bali but then again if this gets cancelled, I really won't be going anywhere this year. What's the point of having so much leave when I'm not going anywhere? Envious of my friends going for holidays, I want to go too. Sad :(
Steamboat dinner at evil twin's house, it's been a few years since we went there. Bought haidilao tomato soup base but it doesn't taste anything like the original. It's so bland, we had to pour 2 packets but it only makes it slightly better. There's still a difference, disappointed. Bought lesser ingredients than usual but her dad kept adding stuff for us, too full to finish all. He shared his bottles of red and white wine with us, kept on persuading us to drink and he really poured a lot. Not that I drank any of it, I have never drunk wine before.
Played blackjack with them, I kept on losing. Uncle and mag are the only lucky ones to win, uncle is too lucky already. He won double when he is the banker. I lost all my money just before his turn to be banker, luckily I stopped if not I will lose more. I lost the money kelvin lent me too, why so unlucky :( He staked his bet on me and gave me the winnings to guard my wealth but I lost it all. Evil twin and I are really best friends, get lousy cards together and die together but I'm worst than her. Continued second round (mahjong) and I won! Mahjong suits me more haha. We left at 4 plus after finished playing west wind, didn't finish a session since lays got to work the next day.
I thought I can finally go bkk this time round but I guess I really have no fate with bkk. Have been planning to go there since a long time ago but somehow or another the plan always fails. Why is it so difficult for me to go there, why are there so many obstacles? Can I go bkk? Does anyone want to go with me? :( Sigh, I give up.
Happy Chinese New Year! More additions to our big family this year. Coincidentally the cousins are all wearing the same colour code. Went to rooftop garden for our 'photoshoot', credits to jovan our photographer. The triplets wore the same shoes. Really love my 初一 dress although it's a bit short.
Caught 'mermaid' movie by stephen chow on 初二, a comedy romance. The mermaid is innocent and pretty. I like the movie, it got more funny as the film progressed. Predictable storyline. Lots of laughter and tears (from hy), I knew she will cry, always so sentimental. I feel touched but didn't cry. The only 2 movies that make me cry are 'hachiko' and 'money not enough 2'. Maybe animals and elderly are my greatest weaknesses. It's difficult to make so many people laugh while watching a movie but it's even more difficult to make them cry. If you want a good laugh, you can watch 'mermaid'. The message the director is trying to deliver is to love our environment and stop doing harmful things to it just for your own personal gain. Hy and I were in the shelter while the rest took pictures despite the rain.
Dinner with bel and min at gusto, we shared truffle fries, seafood squid ink pizza and carbonara since we are not that hungry. Ordered somersby apple cider, mixture of apple flavoured drink and alcohol (4.5%), suits my taste. Received my birthday present, I'll definitely use it. Went to walk around after that and tried not to be in the train by 9.30pm as it is considered too early according to bel.

Dinner at y cube mookata, food was good, wouldn't mind going again. Wide variety of food to choose from, they even have abalone, salmon, ice cream. Mixture of bbq and steamboat, soup was nice but it got more salty towards the end, could be due to the bbq meat juices flowing down. They bought a cake for me, I managed to finish half but it was getting sweeter so I stopped. Knowing me, I usually don't pay attention to my surroundings so I didn't notice that mag was holding a cake on the way here until I heard yl ask why is there a cake. I was a bit slow, still thinking whose birthday is nearing until I realised a few seconds later that it's me. I also happened to see jy opening the box under the table after dinner. I pretended I never see anything and looked away, wanted to ask her to pass me something then I saw the candle. Too obvious already, I can't feign ignorance anymore. After dinner we tried our luck calling Teo Heng, managed to get a room at suntec much to our surprise. Most of them haven't been to Teo Heng for so long that they didn't know how to choose songs so I chose all old songs for them while jy chose all the latest ones. We ended up listening to the original singer rather than sing k. Too tired when I reached home at 2 plus.
Steamboat dinner at crystal jade (zhongshan outlet), was expecting to eat my favourite tomyam. Ended up eating 麻辣 because they took the wrong order, I don't like :( With expectations comes disappointment :( 不开心 :( Everywhere I go, I always choose tomyam soup base for steamboat unless if they don't have. I want to eat tomyam :(
When someone likes the stuff you gave them, they will use it in front of you so that you know they like it. If you have never seen them use it, it means they don't like it. That is why actions always speak louder than words. They may say they like it but you don't believe it. 也许就是因为很任性，很霸道，很固执，才会这么惹人厌吧？每次都希望你会送我回家，可是我却总是没办法说出口。送我回家这四个字很简单，可是我却怕被拒绝，怕尴尬，脸皮不够厚。又没有说不要你送，是我的暗示不够明显吗？直接说我送你回家不就好，为什么还要问 :( 怎么可能会不要你送，就这样走掉，什么都不懂，不开心 :( 你什么时候才会看穿我的心思？与其收到祝福的话，我更希望你能陪在我身边。还会不会见面是个未知数。我想应该没有机会一起出国了，可惜 :( 杰伦要来开演唱会了，我还是希望你能陪我去。这些都是我没办法对你说出口的话。Feelings don't come with a switch, you can't turn it off as and when you like. You can pretend like it doesn't bother you but deep down, you know that's not true.

Christmas was spent at relative's house, having ready-made bbq food. I won't say it's horrible because it's still edible but I don't like it. Went to jovan's house and played monopoly deal, they keep wanting to make me bankrupt, keep on taking my money and property. My simple-minded brain can't catch up with their scheming minds, 玩游戏没有所谓的亲情感情 haha. Well, in the end I still win even though I'm bankrupt, even winning once can make me so happy. Had supper after that, tomyam soup cravings satisfied :)
Last day of 2015 was spent at cousin's house as usual, tokky's 2 nieces came and joined us for a while. Jh asked meimei who she hopes will lose uno stacko and she kept looking at me even though I'm not playing! That's because she's not close to me initially and I never even attempt to play with them, I'm concentrating on my tv show. 小孩子都希望跟自己不熟的人会输，可是我们却是希望跟我们熟的人会输。After that they went crazy playing with me, as long as there's someone who is willing to play with them, they will like that person. When it's time to go home, meimei is still standing at the door asking me to play hide and seek with her. She doesn't want to go home. Had mac for supper delivered to us by our usual delivery person, hy, managed to countdown with her.
Brunch at symmetry with ei8ht, I was late because I don't want to get out of bed when it's such a nice weather to sleep in. Ordered big breakfast, it's good although it's a little on the pricier side, eat till very full. Evil twin guessed it's me on the first try, not fun at all but I got her what she wanted - gopro case. My secret santa was jackie, had a hard time guessing. He got me what I wanted, charmander nanoblock :) Our budget is $20 and I thought the price is about $15 so I only asked for one :( Should have asked for one more, ironman nanoblock but I'm still very happy with my charmander. I was still asking him a lot of questions about his present on the train ride there. I keep trying to play mind games, questioning him about the size of the present since his bag seems quite flat and empty. Since my nanoblock is small, I was trying to see if I can get anything out of him. I even asked if the person is coming but his answers managed to make me drop my suspicions, not bad. Played truth or dare using the china version cards jy brought and htht, I'm lucky to get only 1 dare. There's the extreme worst case and super good one like 生不如死 (got to do every punishment decided by the dice each one of us throw), 君子报仇十年不晚 (each of us have to do the punishment now), 免死金牌 (don't need to do any punishment) and 时来运转 (the previous player has to accept the punishment on your behalf). The usual 4 (2 pairs of twins) went to jy's house to play board game munchkin, only managed to play 2 rounds cause we are busy trying to figure out the rules of the game, there's too many rules to follow. It's rather confusing at first, we have new questions popping out for every turn, need to refer to the manual for guidance. Swee choon for dinner at 10, not that hungry anymore so didn't really eat a lot.
我很想你 :( 可不可以不要离开？可不可以不管我说什么都不要让我离开？不用等到以后，每次说要离开就已经后悔了。不想离开才是真心话，其它的都是口是心非。不是办不到，只是不想。
There isn't any christmas exchange with the Teo's because some of them are travelling overseas and we couldn't find a date where everyone can make it. So sad, this is the first time we didn't have christmas exchange :( On a side note, I finally found a blue christmas tree! This is by far my favourite haha.
Dinner at I'm Kim korean bbq with bel and min, had cravings for korean bbq. Ate a lot of my favourite kimchi, their pancakes are nice, garlic chicken and volcano chicken are good too. Whatever meat they can't finish, they just throw it to me, want me to eat more so I can grow fatter haha. I actually prefer mushroom soup than collagen soup, too full to try the seaweed and korean ginseng chicken soup. It's not bad but I don't really like it, still feel that wang daebak is better. They have a time limit of 1.5 hours for the buffet. I don't like the idea of having a time limit, especially for buffet. The queue was still very long when we left, is it really that nice?
Wasn't too full so we went over to createaf waffles at cathay. They have 1-for-1 promotion but we had to order full size waffles instead of half. Their waffle is good, worth a try, don't really like earl grey lavender ice cream :( Salted caramel suits my taste more. Had our annual christmas exchange, our theme is starbucks. I managed to find the snowman cup both of them wanted after checking out 5 outlets. I guess I'm just lucky. I even facebook messaged starbucks to find out which outlet has it, but they only replied after I bought it. Both of them were still talking about it during dinner, they are sad that it was sold out. They went to a lot of outlets too but couldn't find it and I just kept quiet all the way. Too bad for bel that it was min who got it, she seems really surprised and happy when she saw it :) Mission accomplished!
We were talking about the 5 love languages and decided to do an online test to find out what was our love language. I was expecting mine to be quality time and it turns out that I do understand myself well enough. Next was acts of service, the other 3 was much lower (gifts, words of affirmation and physical touch). Well, I admit I'm a sticky person but not always. I still need some 'me' time.
